Funny has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) Transportation and Infrastructure Advisory Council. This prestigious appointment underscores Councilman Funny's ongoing commitment to enhancing transportation systems and infrastructure on a local and national level. The TIS Council includes 75 members from US cities, representing 19,500 cities, towns, and villages.
The NLC's Transportation and Infrastructure Advisory Council is a distinguished group of local government leaders responsible for advising on policies related to infrastructure improvements, transportation innovations, and the development of sustainable, resilient cities. As a newly appointed member with over 30 years of professional experience in planning and engineering, including transportation planning and engineering, Councilman Funny will provide valuable insight and leadership from his professional and political work in Brookhaven, where he has supported initiatives to enhance the city's transportation networks and ensure the infrastructure meets the growing needs of its residents and businesses.
