James to Help Drive Strategic Growth for Brookhaven Business Community

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, SEPTEMBER 28, 2026, BROOKHAVEN, Ga.— In an exciting step toward growing and sustaining economic prosperity in the local community, the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce has appointed James Shannon as its new Membership Director. With a proven record of growing and energizing professional communities across the region, James brings his vast experience to this essential leadership role.

Before joining the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce, James served in senior membership leadership roles at some of the region's most respected business and professional organizations. Among his peers, James is known for actively engaging members and creating meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact on the communities he serves. At his core, James has an entrepreneurial spirit and he’s always looking for new ways to add value, solve problems, and build something bigger than himself. 

“We are excited that James has joined our team as Membership Director at the Brookhaven Chamber,” said Jeffrey Woolverton, Executive Director for the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce. “His expertise and vision will be essential as we work to deepen our impact and expand our reach in the Brookhaven business community. With James in this pivotal role, we’re confident in our ability to strategically maximize our impact and sustain our organization’s growth in 2026 and beyond.”

James has a deep passion for learning and developing others. He believes that a strong chamber is built on strong relationships — that it’s important to cultivate a community where every member feels connected, valued, and invested in each other's success. When he's not working, you can find James at a live music show, out on a hiking trail, building with Legos, dancing, or giving back to the community he loves.  

“In my new role as Membership Director for the Brookhaven Chamber, I am thrilled to collaborate with the Chamber, the City of Brookhaven, and our members to foster continued growth that benefits our entire community,” said James. “I believe that when people grow, the communities around them grow too. I am optimistic that our Chamber’s efforts will provide the most valuable experience for each member.”

As Membership Director, James is responsible for recruiting new Chamber members, strengthening relationships with current Chamber members, and increasing membership retention. “In today’s economic landscape, we expect James’s experience to be an invaluable asset to our organization,” said Woolverton.
