Description

Join us for our Signature Luncheon featuring Brookhaven Mayor John Park. Park, who previously served his second term as City Council District 2 representative, stepped into the pivotal role as the City of Brookhaven's Mayor on January 8th, making history as the state's first Asian-American Pacific Islander elected to office. This is your opportunity to hear and gain valuable insights into his vision for the future of the City of Brookhaven. The event will occur on January 18th at the Hyatt Regency Villa Christina.

About Mayor John Park

John Park's journey began in South Korea, from where he moved to the United States as a young child with his family. He grew up in the U.S., attending Decatur High School and earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from Emory University's Goizueta Business School. Professionally, Park has worked as a technical consultant for surveillance of nationally notifiable diseases with the Centers for Disease Control and various state health agencies and laboratories. Before entering the mayoral race, Park was part of the Brookhaven City Council since 2014. His tenure there saw him re-elected twice, with his current term originally set to end in 2025. Park's platform focused on creating a safer, greener Brookhaven with enhanced public spaces and improved public safety, while also managing to reduce homeowners' property taxes. He has been a resident of Brookhaven since 2007, alongside his wife, Morgan.
