RSVP to lahuck@spineatl.com - Collective One Gallery, gallery in residence at the Westside Cultural Arts Center, is proud to present "Collective One SERIES: In | Finite” an exhibition of Matt Neuman’s abstract and geometric works In | Finite will be on display November 13, 2015 through January 22, 2016. “The essential shapes that make up the world we inhabit also make up Matt Neuman’s work. Simple geometrical figures are expressed in work that explores the use of space through color and energy.” Arte Al Limite Magazine, November, 2014. Matt Neuman’s current body of work focuses on color and uses a unique combination of painting and building techniques to craft abstract, geometric paintings that have a strong material and sculptural presence. In 2013 printmaking muscled its way to the forefront of Neuman’s studio practice. The constant exchange of ideas and visual vocabulary between painting and printmaking has a wonderful synergy, where the two media help to continually redefine the nature of each other's process.
