For the second year the first ball will be thrown out by Mary Tifton Carter. MT is a Brookhaven girl who celebrated her first year anniversary of being free of childhood ovarian cancer in May. (Google her what a courageous presence!) Mary Tipton also wants people to know that ladies of all ages can get ovarian cancer\, as she was only 8 years old when diagnosed.
